Gray pantsuit
The Tailleur is the counterpart of the men's suit and, in the 1980s, symbolized the professional rampantism of career women. The first was made in 1885 by English tailor John Redfern for the Princess of Wales, taking up the styles of the so-called German hongreline. The suit made by Redfern was no-frills, paired with masculine accessories (such as a vest and tie), but was anything but comfortable. In the late 1920s Mademoiselle Coco, freed women from unnecessary constraints by making a soft jersey suit, feminine and practical, with a knee-length skirt.
