Straight from the 1960s to the present day, the trapeze dress is back in fashion; it is a simple garment, reduced to the essentials, which allows the figure to be slender thanks to the shorter hemline and the waistline that is not marked, leaving the curves of the body undefined. That is why it is the dress that suits everyone.
Once again it was Yves Saint Laurent who revolutionised fashion; in 1958, he created the Trapeze line. The success was immediate: women were looking for lightness and simplicity, after the metres of fabric protagonists of the 1950s. The Tailleur is the counterpart of the men's suit and, in the 1980s, symbolized the professional rampantism of career women.
