In the 1920s, French fashion designer Coco Chanel made her triumphant entrance onto the fashion scene. With a rebellious spirit and an eye for change, Chanel decided it was time to shake things up and did so with the Trouser Tailleur.
Chanel understood that women needed clothes that could cope with their increasing independence and participation in social activities. Giorgio Armani had also understood the revolutionary change. In the 1980s (a time of social change) he emphasised the importance of proposing clothing that was both elegant and functional and redefined the concept of the women's trouser suit, conveying a message of emancipation, class and sophistication.
The history of the pantsuit teaches us that fashion is a way of communicating, expressing ideas and changing the world. Innovation in trouser suits has embraced the idea of customisation, allowing women to tailor the garment to their own taste and lifestyle. Punctually, as in every season, the trouser suit will be the absolute star of the wardrobe. In fact, the full skirt made its first appearance in the 1950s, but it was in the post-war period that the full skirt began its evolution, starting with the New Look of Christian Diorin particular, by the famous 'Bar Suit', which consisted of a corolla skirt and a very structured jacket.

Linen and silk trouser suit with trousers, jacket and structured top – Bespoke
To dress power in order to express power: this was the categorical imperative followed, for entire generations, by women in order to begin to carve out positions of prominence and, therefore, it was important to find non-verbal communicative codes in order to emphasise this turning point.
The suit, which up to that point still consisted of a skirt and a tunic, is the one that most clearly expressed this transition.
In 1966, Yves Saint Laurent launched Le Smoking, an elegant trouser suit for evening wear. Versatile and elegant, but also youthful and seductive, it is one of the few garments that all women, at least once in their lives, wear. Whether with long, palazzo, cigarette or flared trousers; with a fitted, double-breasted jacket and shocking, garish or total black colours. Constantly evolving, never changing: the ladies' suit is and will remain synonymous with class and sophistication.

Sequined tulle skirt – Bespoke
The pencil skirt is a classic of elegance and is absolutely among the skirts to have in your wardrobe. Glamorous and glamorous, it is the passe-partout for the party season and beyond.
Refined and with an ever-present charm, the pencil skirt was brought to success in the 1950s by Christian Dior who, in 1954, actually paraded very wearable pencils. In fact, already in the early 1900s, women wore very tight but, indeed, unfinished skirts. It was in the following decades that it established itself as a true symbol of femininity thanks to the appeal that its typical close-fitting silhouette is capable of exerting. In this case, we are talking about the sequin pencil skirt, a decidedly more unconventional variant of the minimal one we are usually used to.
My pencil skirt model is characterised by its length, just below the knee at the front and up to the calf at the back; it has a simple line that follows the body's shape, enhancing it but without constricting it.
