To dress power in order to express power: this was the categorical imperative followed, for entire generations, by women in order to begin to carve out positions of prominence and, therefore, it was important to find non-verbal communicative codes in order to emphasise this turning point.
The suit, which up to that point still consisted of a skirt and a tunic, is the one that most clearly expressed this transition.
In 1966, Yves Saint Laurent launched Le Smoking, an elegant trouser suit for evening wear. Versatile and elegant, but also youthful and seductive, it is one of the few garments that all women, at least once in their lives, wear. Whether with long, palazzo, cigarette or flared trousers; with a fitted, double-breasted jacket and shocking, garish or total black colours. Constantly evolving, never changing: the ladies’ suit is and will remain synonymous with class and sophistication.
The women’s trouser suit is an example of ultra-glamorous modern tailoring and the recent catwalks are re-proposing it, designed for hybrid lifestyles, with different combinations under jackets: from a shirt, to a waistcoat, to a structured top or even directly with a closed double-breasted blazer, worn without anything underneath.
Out of the chorus and for those who, while dressing classy, feel like daring, my tailored suit for every occasion is colourful, in bright linen and silk fabric. It has a lined double-breasted jacket with peaked lapels, combined with wide-flared trousers. To make it decidedly more feminine, a top in the same fabric.

Black Short Duchesse Skirt – Bespoke
From its invention in 1963 at the touch of Mary Quant to the present day, the miniskirt continues to make hearts beat regardless of style, age or physicality. Versatile, feminine and revolutionary, it has conquered the recent catwalks, undermining overly short designs by returning to its classic silhouette.
Among the trends of the moment, the short skirt can be worn at all ages. In recent collections, the miniskirt is rediscovering sexy with taste, thanks to strategic combinations and cuts. Slightly longer than in the past, it becomes a versatile piece, making it suitable even for those without gazelle legs.
For those in their 50s or 60s who do not want to give up the miniskirt, the secret is to go for total black. Black has always been a safe harbour: the colour that instils more confidence, allowing you to dare to look a little more.
My miniskirt, made of fine silk duchesse in black, features a side closure with invisible zip and belt loops. It is combined with an elegant and versatile straight line silk jersey shirt; with visible buttoning. The garments were entirely made and finished by hand.
Pink cut-out dress in embroidered silk georgette – Bespoke
In the 1990s the cut-out dress became a must. Lo rese famoso Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman con il suo look che tutti ricordiamo.
After a long period, the Spring-Summer 2023 fashion shows marked its return, a glamorous, sought-after, trendy, and glamorous trend.
It is certainly not surprising that one of the most feminine dresses was actually created by a woman. The protagonist of the catwalks for at least three seasons has been the Albanian-born, London-based designer Nensi Dojaka; it is only right, however, to mention that the record for invention, in modern times and precisely in the 1990s, belongs to Miuccia Prada.
The cut out dress is the ideal garment to show off at any time of year and for any elegant occasion; midi or short, sleeveless or long-sleeved, in floaty or structured fabric, there is a suitable model for everyone, enhancing the silhouette and the strengths of the physique with its ad hoc cuts.
My one-of-a-kind cut-out dress, with its distinctive slits framing the waist and bust, is made of embroidered silk georgette with grosgrain inserts and a back top closure with covered buttons. Packaging and all finishing were done by hand.
Black silk velvet pants
My black silk velvet pants are a must-have this winter season. The catwalks for fall and winter confirm that velvet is still among the trends of the season, and women's pants, in particular, are confirmed to be on trend if they have a fluid, slouchy cut or oversize. "Smooth velvet is a perfect reminder of elegance," declares designer Domitilla Mattei of Souldaze. Velvet pants are a classic with a unique charm and sophistication, but above all, they can dress up and turn a look around in no time, thanks to the special workmanship and the soft, luminous finish; they manage to give even the most alternative looks some depth - and an edge to basic outfits. This trouser is often associated with the Christmas holiday season, particularly when chosen in classic shades such as black, to create elegant outfits for events and elegant dinners, perfect for evening wear as well. In case someone wants to wear them for a party or a night at the disco, just pair them with jeweled tops, such as a sleeveless blouse made of beaded embroidered fabric and a stylish jacket, both cropped. The black silk velvet pant certainly does not represent an absolute innovation in women's closets. Yet, every year, they return revisited and revised; women's velvet pants are a candidate to become the go-to garment of everyday life, a true must-have item to conquer the entire cold season, and its soft texture gives that touch of comfort sought during the winter. Velvet pants are not just a garment, but a sensory experience.
Black lace long skirt
Elegant and sophisticated black lace long skirt, lined in fine silk georgette. Romantic, dreamy and with a veiled boho flavor, the long black lace skirt takes the top spot of current trends, becoming the garment to always have in your closet. Appreciated especially for its versatility, it can also be worn in the evening, completing the look with a tailored blazer or an elegant crop top with a structured, strapless cut, accompanied by pointed ballet flats or an elegant pump. Sensual enough, refined enough, it is the sovereign garment of the early cold weather. Celebrated on catwalks from Chanel to Dior, a brand that has made craftsmanship its style signature, the lace skirt is delicate and precious but also contemporary and effortless chic. On the catwalks each season, many brands have revisited the lace skirt, giving it new meanings and new identities. Lace is indeed an extremely valuable material that has followed all phases of people's lives over the centuries. At the same time, lace is a material that, having originated around 1500 and originally used only for religious decorations, has undergone many transformations. Sheer or lined, stiff but fluttering, delicate but sexy, the lace skirt is as central to fashion discourse today as it was decades ago. Lace is the material that speaks of childhood, growth and change. It talks about baptisms, weddings and funerals but also about burlesque and lingerie and also pays tribute to an invaluable Italian and European manufacturing sector. Simone Rocha, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino would not be the same without the use of lace in an effort to keep alive the artisan tailoring tradition that gives them life.

Black crépe top – Bespoke
Top suitable for any occasion: asymmetrical cut, sleeveless and the game of crépe fabric, characterized by two straight, one satin, shiny and shaved, the other frizzy and opaque, which enhance the particularity of this model. The best piece of clothing with which to combine it, to enhance the silhouette and maintain a balance between the upper and lower body, is a pair of cigarette pants, in plain fabric or even in the capri model short at the ankles, or slightly flared leg, of the same color, to be shown off with high-heeled sandals.
Gray pantsuit
The Tailleur is the counterpart of the men's suit and, in the 1980s, symbolized the professional rampantism of career women. The first was made in 1885 by English tailor John Redfern for the Princess of Wales, taking up the styles of the so-called German hongreline. The suit made by Redfern was no-frills, paired with masculine accessories (such as a vest and tie), but was anything but comfortable. Despite this, it symbolizes one of the first steps toward women's emancipation. In the late 1920s Mademoiselle Coco, freed women from unnecessary constraints by making a soft jersey suit, feminine and practical, with a knee-length skirt. In the fashion world, the suit has found much success, especially in ready-to-wear fashion shows. In 1966 Yves Saint Laurent proposed a pantsuit and transformed it into the first women's tuxedo suit, making it eye-catching and extremely sensual. In the following decades to the present, the pantsuit has paraded on dozens of runways, continually reinventing itself in colors, fabrics and cuts, now rigorous, now provocative, worn like a second skin with nothing underneath, as Armani suggested in 1993. The pantsuit thus discovers its dual soul: on the one hand the confident, convention-defying, masculine and provocative at the same time; on the other hand the fairy-tale allure, romantic and elegant. My pantsuit is in Loro Piana's 130's wool fabric, over line and fit; jacket with inside pocket and handmade buttonholes. A timeless garment of women's fashion.
White wool skirt suit – bespoke
Fashion, as we know, is made of historical courses and recurrences, in a continuous flow of aesthetic references rooted in the past and looking to the future. In recent collections the most important fashion houses have revisited the skirt suit with a timeless flavour, with fitted or oversize jackets and skirts in different lengths, from knee to ankle. A revival of the 1950s contaminated the catwalks. The skirt suit is back, the trend with composed elegance that has its roots in the 1950s. A timeless outfit is my delightful, warm and sophisticated suit with short jacket, tailored in a creamy white wool and viscose fabric. Exclusive design with long, wrap-around skirt and round-neck jacket, with overlapping pockets and concealed snap fastening. Very versatile and suitable for any occasion.

Structured bustier top in crépe
My structured crépe bustier top is lined, with a zipper closure. Refined, exclusive and very comfortable, with invisible zipper back opening. Sleeveless and strapless bustier, straight line that accompanies the bust silhouette, hip length; it is perfect for elegant and sophisticated evenings. Its strength is its versatility: elegant and sophisticated, worthy of grand occasions; more practical and casual when worn with pants or pencil skirt of the same color. The corset (now bustier top) is a garment that has a long history behind it. Originally worn in the 16th century, the corset was used to shape the female figure, creating an hourglass silhouette. Over the centuries, the corset has become a symbol of femininity and seduction, but it has also been opposed for its effects on women's health. However, in recent years, the corset is experiencing something of a resurgence, becoming a fashion item again. Celebrities and influencers around the world have begun wearing bustiers as crop tops or as overlays on other garments. This new way of wearing the corset made the garment more accessible and less restrictive.
